Budapest, the capital of Central Europe

Hungary forms part of our Imperial Cities tour where we include 2 nights in Budapest and 2 nights in Vienna starting with 3 nights in the 'Golden City' of Prague, with its stunning medieval architecture. The tour continues to Hungary’s imperial capital city, Budapest, that straddles a curve of the magnificent river Danube. Seen by some as the capital of central Europe, the many monuments found in Pest and Old Buda have been bequeathed by various invaders including the Turks, Romans and Hungarian tribes. The tour culminates with a stay in romantic Vienna, 'Queen of the Danube' and former capital of the Habsburg realm.
