Offering a little bit of everything

Many of Slovenia’s cities and towns still bear the imprint of the Habsburg Empire and the Venetian Republic, while up in the Julian Alps you'd almost think you were in Bavaria. We’ve chosen two destinations, Lake Bled, sometimes referred to as the 'Garden of Eden', with its serene mountainous landscapes, historic medieval cities and villages and the former pirate town of Portoroz on the Istrian Peninsula (a beautiful coastal region, with a mild climate which straddles the border of Slovenia and Croatia). The country offers everything: mountains, lakes, delicious food, good wines and friendly people.
